This range of handmade instruments combine modern technology with the traditional craft of the violinmaker. They maximise the playability and sound quality required for today`s demanding environments.The body of this instrument is hollow, formed from Kevlar and carbon-fibre composite. This gives the Lyra a high strength to weight ratio, immense durability and a natural resonance.
The ebony fingerboard, nut and neck are professionally shaped and traditionally finished. The high quality ebony pegs are professionally fitted to give positive grip with ease of movement.The Lyra is supplied with quality Pirastro Tonica strings, although any strings can be used.
Our electric violins use an encapsulated pickup system integrated into the bridge, utilising all advantages of a traditional bridge and capturing the warmth of tone synonymous with their acoustic counterparts.
Bridge does not supply the Bridge pickup system to any other manufactures or makers. The Aquila features convenient volume and tone tilt controls situated for easy adjustment.
The Lyra is fitted with a light-weight tailpiece with fine tuners an ebony, Dresden style, chinrest.
The 1/4 inch jack socket is carefully positioned drag and interference from the cable. We have also ensured that the angle and proportions are compatible with all common wireless solutions. The 3 Volt coin cell battery is also located on the underside of the instrument. This simple and really available battery can provide 1000 hours of playing time and only drains while the jack is plugged in.
